This policy explains how Plant Equipment Co., Ltd. ("Plant Equipment", "we") collects, uses and protects personal data through plantequipment.co.th, in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (2019) ("PDPA").

What we collect and why

Quotation and contact requests

When you use the Request a Quotation form, the contact form on our Contact page, or email us, we receive your name and email address and whatever else you choose to give us: company, phone number, product and the details of your request. We use them to answer you, prepare a quotation and follow it up. We rely on taking steps at your request before a contract, and on our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. Both forms send your request by email to our sales team; quotation requests are also kept in the website's administration area so that our team can follow them up. To stop spam we briefly use your IP address to limit the number of requests, and the contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA.

Website statistics

Like most websites, our server records technical data about each visit: IP address, browser and device, pages viewed and time. We count visits with WP Statistics, which runs on our own server and stores IP addresses only in hashed form, and with Google Analytics (Google LLC), which tells us which pages are useful. Google Analytics sets its cookies only if you accept statistics cookies. If you reject them, or have not chosen yet, it sets no cookies and receives only cookieless signals that cannot recognise you on a later visit (Google Consent Mode).

A copy of the WP Statistics visit records (with IP addresses still only in hashed form) and of the quotation requests stored on the website is kept in our internal customer system, so that our sales team can follow up enquiries and see which products customers are interested in.

Live chat

The chat window is loaded only after you start using the page. If you use it, Freshchat (Freshworks Inc.) processes your messages and any contact details you give, so that we can reply.

Maps and fonts

Our Contact page shows our offices on Google Maps, and our pages use fonts from Google Fonts. To show them, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address.

Cookies

We use cookies the site needs to work, for example to remember your cookie choice, and, if you agree, statistics cookies. You can change your choice at any time with the cookie preferences button at the bottom of the page.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers who run parts of the website for us:

• Hosting: Hostatom, on servers in Thailand
• Our internal customer system: Cloudways (DigitalOcean), on servers in Singapore
• Email: Zoho
• Statistics, maps, fonts and spam protection: Google
• Live chat: Freshworks

Some of these providers process data outside Thailand. We use providers that protect it under their own data protection terms. We may also disclose personal data when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

• Quotation and contact requests: 365 days on the website; requests stored there are deleted automatically after that. The copy in our internal customer system is kept for as long as we have a business relationship with you or your company, or until you ask us to delete it. If a request leads to an order, the order documents are kept as long as accounting and tax law require.
• Website statistics: WP Statistics on the website keeps visit details for 12 months, with IP addresses stored only in hashed form; after that only totals remain. The copy in our internal customer system is kept without a time limit, with IP addresses only in hashed form. Google Analytics no longer than 14 months.
• Cookie choices: your browser remembers your choice. We do not keep a separate record of it on our server.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you can ask us to give you access to and a copy of your personal data, correct it, delete or anonymise it, restrict or object to its use, or send it to another organisation. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect what we did before. To use these rights, email sales@plantequipment.co.th. We will reply within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (pdpc.or.th).

Security

The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), only staff who need the data can see it, and our providers have their own security controls. No system is completely secure. If you think your data has been misused, please tell us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the current version.
